Responsibilities

  • Facilitating the planning and scheduling process through various construction phases (preconstruction, construction, system completions, etc.);
  • Retrieving, consolidating, and analyzing information from various sources;
  • Conduct schedule analysis for constructability, risks, and opportunities:
  • Collaborating with field supervision on look ahead planning;
  • Implementing subcontractor schedules into the master project schedule;
  • Leading interactive planning sessions:
  • Managing schedule scope changes in alignment with contract requirements;
  • Analyzing schedule delays, impacts, and variances to the baseline and generating solutions for scheduling conflicts;
  • Communicating plans and schedules internally and externally through effective graphs and reports; and
  • Applying leadership skills to support the site manager in project execution.

Qualifications

  • An Engineering Technology Diploma, Engineering Degree, and/or trades-related experience;
  • Industry-related experience and/or experience working with direct hire trades and subcontractors;
  • Proficient understanding of planning and scheduling principles, standards, practices, and techniques;
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6 and skilled in Microsoft Excel;
  • Familiar with Advanced Work Packaging / WorkFace Planning;
  • Experience with schedule delay analysis methods, schedule risk analysis, and/or 4D scheduling would be an asset;
  • Inquisitive, self-starter with a keen eye for detail and an aim to learn;
  • Ability to extract information from construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and proposal documents;
  • Follows up on issues to work towards solutions;
  • Capacity to prioritize work under strict timelines and adaptable to changing needs;
  • Effective listening and oral communication skills (including spoken, written, and visual);
  • Strong skills in regards to social awareness and relationship management; and
  • Comfortable working with a variety of people including estimators, field supervisors, subcontractors, project management, and clients.
