The Senior Cost Controller will a key role and act as a business partner to several functions within the Lonza organization. You will support and advise these functions on all financial matters such as budgeting, workforce planning, reporting, etc, therefore excellent stakeholder management skills are essential. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely and gain valuable exposure to a large multi-national organization that continues to grow and enhance its reputation as a leading Biotechnology business.

Key responsibilities

  • Understanding the cost drivers of Cost Centers / Department and providing insight to the non-finance members
  • Work closely with key functional leads/stakeholders to provide a ‘best in class service that will enable them to effectively plan and budget for their divisions
  • Analyze and present concise reports and information to support key decision-making processes
  • Manage month-end close activities for functions
  • Assist with year-end and internal audits
  • Support M&A divestment projects as required
  • Support projects by setting and controlling budgets, tracking spending, and ensuring compliance

Key requirements

  • A pro-active and dynamic approach, able to adapt well to changing requirements and demands
  • Previous experience supporting multiple functions across several regions would be highly desirable
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Confident and comfortable in presenting information
  • A Finance background in a complex organizational structure, including shared service would be hugely advantageous
  • Well-versed in the use of SAP and Excel
