Job Listings NYC, David  Zwirner, a world-renowned contemporary art gallery with locations in New York, London, Hong Kong, and Paris, is seeking a driven, high-energy, detail-oriented, and out-of-the-box thinker who will be focused on developing and improving client reporting capabilities and client data capture within the Client Development Department.

The goal of this position is both to creatively imagine client data reporting, resulting in a systematized reporting menu, and to execute the reports. Systematizing our reports will tell us more about our clients, and also indicate what other data we want to explore.

This position will begin as a six-month contract role and will report to the Senior Director of Client Development while working closely with the Digital Department on improving the capabilities of our proprietary database. Position hours are Monday-Friday, 10 am to 6 pm.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with stakeholders to develop automated tools and dashboards, leveraging data from multiple CRM sources to increase client and sales analysis.
  • Monitor database activity to identify trends, surface actionable insights, and provide standardized reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate on post-campaign reporting to manage existing Client Development reports and develop standardized, as well as new, Client Development reports.
  • Liaise with Marketing and Finance Analysts and the gallery data team to optimize gallery reporting standards.
  • Validate data integrity as a centralized source of analytics and performance.
  • Support department-wide ROI reporting and quarterly analysis.
  • Facilitate delivery of ad hoc analysis and data requests.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Math, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Sheets, including the use of pivot tables, Vlookups, and various formulas.
  • Proficiency in SQL and query optimization for MySQL, knowledge of relational databases.
  • Experience with MySQL or similar relational database products, including handwriting SQL and performing database queries using a GUI tool such as MySQL Workbench.
  • Experience with Google Data Studio required – PowerBI, Tableau, Tableau Prep, Looker, or other BI software/data visualization software a plus.
  • Fluency in object-oriented programming languages is a plus (e.g. Python, Java, Scala, or R).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Interest in the Arts is a plus.
