Dentons is currently recruiting an interim Firmwide Finance Data Conversion Analyst to support the implementation of a

significant Firmwide Finance transformation program. The Interim Firmwide Finance Data Conversion Analyst’s primary

responsibility is supporting Dentons firmwide financial transformation initiative. Working alongside Business Technology

team members (global and regional) and transformation project teams, the individual is accountable for the analysis of

data elements and overall data flow to support the financial transformation platform to meet all project requirements.

Reporting into the Interim Global Finance Integrations and Data Services Lead, this individual will be accountable to the

financial transformation project team.

The Firmwide Finance Data Conversion Analyst is an expert in the analysis of data elements in systems, data flows and

the translation of data from one platform to another. A strong understanding of financial platforms is key to this role,

which assumes the responsibility of ensuring the data requirements are met. The candidate should have experience in

documenting and analysing data conversions. Experience with practice management systems tools such as 3E or

Aderant would be ideal. Experience working in large global teams is essential to this role which will interact with both

global and regional teams to optimize the design of the financial platform.

The individual is also responsible for collaborating closely with all Dentons regions with an objective of ensuring the

successful technical integration and continued alignment with evolving Firm standards. This includes the support of

cross regional initiatives involving the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

The finance transformation program is a truly global program designed to transform Dentons’ Finance function into the

business partnering function of the future. It will support the business by offering true business insight, efficient and

effective processes while maintaining the necessary compliance and control.

Key Deliverables

  1. Support the Dentons regions in their plans to migrate legacy systems to the global platforms.
  2. Work closely with the global data and integration team, and TRE conversion team to ensure successful conversion.
  3. Interact with regional data and integration teams to ensure the global platform works well with their other processes, and assume a role in document data structures, including data maps, data lineage and assisting with data translation.
  4. Work closely with the global and regional conversion, integration and infrastructure teams to ensure the platform design is tightly integrated with the other global and regional platforms and data elements.

Key Responsibilities

Conversion Tasks

  1. In all of these tasks, co-ordinate and work with FFT Integration and Data services Lead, TRE Conversion Lead, and relevant Global, Regional and TRE conversion resources and stakeholders
  2. Work with TRE Conversion Team, FFT teams and Regional conversion team to manage data maps, data translation and data lineage.
  3. Manage DevOps tasks
  4. Assist in process of fixes of databases in each region
  5. Assist with documentation of conversions including data maps, documents, reports
  6. Work with cutover manager to plan and execute conversion related activities for and during cutover
  7. Assist with 3E balancing, reporting and application usage related to the conversion


  1. Successful set of data conversions within agreed timeframes

  3. Minimize disruption to the business during go-live
  4. Successful movement of data into new global data model

About You

  • Business international level of English – both written and oral

Desirable Qualifications / Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with Elite 3E or Aderant Expert
  • Experience of data conversion (migration) of financial systems
