Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and creative Part-Time Video Editor. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for crafting engaging and visually compelling video content for various purposes, including marketing, social media, tutorials, and presentations. This part-time position offers flexible hours and requires strong video editing skills, creativity, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Video Editing: Edit and assemble raw video footage into polished and professional video content. Trim and rearrange clips, add transitions, effects, and audio to create visually appealing videos.

  • Storytelling: Utilize your creative flair to tell compelling stories through video content. Understand the objectives of each project and align the video editing to meet the intended message.

  • Color Correction and Grading: Enhance the visual quality of videos through color correction and grading. Maintain consistency in color tones and visual style across multiple videos.

  • Audio Editing: Enhance audio quality by adjusting volume levels, adding background music, and incorporating sound effects. Ensure a seamless and engaging audio-visual experience.

  • Video Optimization: Optimize videos for various platforms and formats, ensuring they meet the technical specifications and requirements of each platform (e.g., social media, websites, presentations).

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the creative team, marketing team, or clients to understand project requirements and deliver video content that aligns with their vision.

  • Video Transitions and Effects: Implement creative video transitions, animations, and visual effects to enhance the overall video storytelling.

  • Video Compression and Export: Compress and export video files in various formats and sizes, maintaining high-quality output and fast loading times.

  • File Management: Organize and manage video assets, project files, and backups to maintain an efficient and structured workflow.

  • Video Feedback and Revisions: Receive feedback from stakeholders and implement revisions to video content based on feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a video editor or in a similar video editing role, with a portfolio showcasing your video editing skills.

  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.

  • Knowledge of video formats, codecs, and compression settings for various platforms and devices.

  • Strong understanding of video storytelling and visual communication.

  • Creativity and a keen eye for detail to create visually engaging and appealing videos.

  • Solid understanding of video composition, pacing, and timing.

  • Basic knowledge of audio editing and mixing techniques.

  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to understand project requirements and feedback.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing project needs and revisions.

  • Familiarity with design and animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects) is a plus.
