Paralegal Jobs New York City, This position is a hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and supports the Legal Department in monitoring all activities of the organization to ensure compliance with its obligations under the affiliation agreement with the Health + Hospitals system as well as federal, and state, and local laws.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare simple legal documents with guidance from the lawyers on the team
  • Review basic legal documents with attorney oversight
  • Handle administrative responsibilities with respect to preparation, execution, and organization of legal documents
  • Coordinate and keep track of signature pages and fully-executed agreements
  • Organize legal documents and maintain charts, files, and status trackers, as needed
  • Maintain corporate minute books and assist in preparing for Board and leadership meetings
  • Research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and legal advice
  • Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems
  • Handle departmental administrative duties as assigned, including:
  • Manage calendars and schedule meetings/calls
  • Make travel arrangements
  • Upload legal documents into document management systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years as a corporate Paralegal/Legal Assistant, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal department, or
  • 3-5 years of experience as an administrative assistant (preferably in a law firm or in a corporate legal department), legal assistant, or legal secretary
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently, manage a large workload, prioritize and complete multiple tasks and keep deadlines
