Recruiter Jobs in Bristol, Robert Half is excited to be partnering with Bath Rugby, an iconic Premiership Rugby Club, and multi-faceted business, to recruit an experienced Management Accountant!

The role will be based at the training ground; Farleigh House, 20 minutes outside of Bath, a beautiful 1820 listed manor converted into an elite training headquarters for the club, situated in the middle of a vast and stunning landscape (including two full-size training pitches). Whilst they operate a hybrid working model, this is certainly an office space that people would look forward to visiting!

The Role

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller – you will take full ownership of the end-end accounts for Bath Rugby Club as well as have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and gain exposure to budgeting and forecasting.

Key Duties

  • Full preparation of management accounts including balance sheet and control account reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, variance analysis, and P&L reviews
  • Producing analytic information relating to areas such as ticketing, hospitality, sponsorship, and commercial events.
  • Processing interdepartmental cross charges
  • Liaising with other departments to gather information of relevance to the business.
  • Regular and ad hoc delivery of management information to all departments within the business.
  • Involvement in the preparation and implementation of the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Assisting the FC in the development, implementation, and enhancement of the financial controls within the whole business.
  • Manage cashflow forecasting
  • Assist with the annual statutory audit
  • Preparing quarterly VAT returns
  • Completion of ONS surveys
  • Assist with the production and review of casual payroll

Your Profile

  • QBE, finalist or newly qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
  • Solid management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting experience
  • Strong excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, ability to manipulate data), Power Query beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor/lead
