Copper Mountain Mine is located near the town of Princeton, British Columbia at the center of the scenic Similkameen Valley. Princeton is also in close proximity to both the city of Vancouver and the Okanagan.


  • Reporting to Supervisor, Mine Operations, the Haul Truck Driver is responsible for operating a 240-ton haul truck.
  • This is a temporary full-time role on a 4×4 rotation, 12-hour shifts, rotating day and night shifts.


  • Operates 240-ton haul trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Conducts pre-trip safety inspections and reports any maintenance requirements on concerns.
  • Communicates effectively with all team members.
  • Maintains good housekeeping practices on equipment.
  • Assists in general mine labor, when needed.
  • Performs any other responsibilities related to the Haul Truck Driver role as required or as assigned by the Supervisor, Mine Operations.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED).
  • Previous experience operating haul trucks or large equipment is considered an asset.
  • Possess a valid Class 5/7N driver’s license and have access to personal transportation.
    Required Skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Have high regard for personal safety and the safety of company property and employees.
  • Ability to learn, be trained, and follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
    Working Conditions.
  • Frequent exposure to uncomfortable conditions associated with the work environment such as noise and working and driving in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, sitting for a prolonged period of time, climbing upstairs.

Other Requirements

  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening requirements and drug & alcohol testing.
  • Provide proof of a valid Class 5/7N driver’s license.
  • Demonstrate eligibility to work in Canada.
